The Financial Conduct Authority warned about Fx Edge Prime Pro on 21 March 2025. The notice lists three addresses. Two of them claim to be in Australia, and neither is written the way an Australian address is written.
What the FCA published
A plain unauthorised-firm warning, first published and last updated 21 March 2025. The FCA’s wording: “This firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without our permission. You should avoid dealing with this firm and beware of scams.”
Recorded against it: the website www.fxedgeprimepro.com, an email address, the telephone number 07418 358998, and three locations —

Read the Australian addresses again
Three things are wrong with them, and none requires local knowledge to spot.
“Cir.” is not an Australian street type. It is the American abbreviation for Circle, the kind of suffix used in US suburban developments. Australian addresses use Street, Road, Avenue, Court, Parade, Crescent.
The postcode has five digits. Australian postcodes have four. “81063” is the shape of a United States ZIP code, not an Australian postcode — and no Australian postcode begins with 8 followed by four more digits.
“Shiloh” is not an Australian town. It is a placename that recurs across the American South and Midwest. “Brisbane Cir.” pairs an Australian city name with a US street format, which is what you get when somebody wants an address to look Australian without knowing what one looks like.
Taken together these read as addresses generated from a US template with the country field switched to Australia. The house numbers — 0233 with a leading zero, and 10445 — are the last detail: no real address begins with a zero, and the two are on the same fictional street.
The phone number tells the same story
07418 358998 is a UK mobile number. Not an Australian landline, not a Cumbrian one. An operation claiming premises on two continents was reachable on a single British mobile handset.
The domain is now dead
We checked fxedgeprimepro.com on 11 September 2026. It returns DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. No DNS record exists — gone roughly eighteen months after the warning.
Anyone who dealt with the firm has no access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and no FSCS protection, because it was never authorised.

The address is where these operations are weakest. ProFX One used a Google map pin as its Australian address, and crestempress listed only a New Zealand street while soliciting people in Britain.
Our verdict
You do not need to know Australia to catch this. Count the digits in the postcode, and check that the street type belongs to the country named beside it. Fabricated addresses are almost always generated from the wrong national template, and the mismatch survives into print.
Then check authorisation on the FCA register, which is the test no address can pass on a firm’s behalf.
