Sunbird FX Wanted Your Review Deleted Before It Would Pay You

SunbirdFX_SCAM_sunbirdfx-com

Verdict up front: The Forex Peace Army records a Sunbird FX client being told her withdrawal would be paid only if she deleted her public complaint first. That is not a service failure — it is a price put on silence. Behind the brand sat a London-registered company that was never a financial firm on paper and was struck off in January 2018, plus an FCA warning standing since 2015.

Verified evidence (checked 8 September 2026)

  • The FCA published a warning naming the website. The UK regulator’s warning list carries “Sunbird FX c/o Spring Empire Solutions Limited”, website www.sunbirdfx.com, first published 22 October 2015: “We believe this firm may be providing financial services or products in the UK without our authorisation.” Anyone dealing with it has no Financial Ombudsman access and no FSCS protection.
  • The UK company behind the name is dead — and was never a financial company. Companies House records SPRING EMPIRE SOLUTIONS LTD., company number 09386903, incorporated 13 January 2015, dissolved 2 January 2018, filed under SIC 82990 — “other business support service activities”, not investment services. Its registered office at dissolution was the Companies House default address in Cardiff — where a company lands when it stops maintaining a real one.
  • The London address is a shared mail address on other FCA warnings too. The warning gives 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU — sold commercially as a registered-office service. The same address appears on FCA warnings for unrelated firms including Cryptozoption (26 July 2023) and Easy Option Trade (12 March 2026).
  • Payment was reportedly conditional on deleting the complaint. The FPA blacklists Sunbird FX and records that “a SunbirdFx employee demanded that she remove her review about the issue before payment would be made”, alongside refused withdrawals and bonus forfeiture terms. That account is the FPA’s and its complainants’, not our own investigation.
  • The domain is still alive and paid for. sunbirdfx.com was created 27 September 2010 (GoDaddy), last renewed September 2025. A dissolved company, a live domain. Investors, Take Note
If a firm ties your withdrawal to deleting a complaint, the complaint is the only leverage you have. Keep it up and put it in writing.

A London address costs a few pounds a month. Search it — if thousands of companies share it, it tells you nothing about the firm.

What was Sunbird FX?

A retail forex brand at sunbirdfx.com, sold with a London address and a UK-sounding corporate name. The FPA lists the operating entity as out of business and the site no longer serves customers — yet the domain is still renewed.

Deleting the review was the deal

Strip away the trading language and the mechanic is simple. A client is owed money. Her public complaint is the only thing that costs the firm anything. So payment is offered in exchange for taking it down — and if she agrees, the next customer arrives at a clean record and deposits.

Every deleted review is a future deposit. If you are offered that trade, know what you are being asked to sell: not your money back, but the warning that would have protected the next person.

What we could not verify

We did not independently verify the FPA’s account of the review-removal demand, its Traders Court verdicts, or its reported link between Sunbird FX and other brands — those remain the FPA’s findings and we will not present them as ours. The FPA also refers to a December 2013 French AMF listing; we did not locate that entry and are not repeating it as confirmed fact.

Check it for yourself

Nothing above depends on trusting us. Search the name on Google, ask ChatGPT, and run the register checks named in the evidence box. A regulator warning takes about a minute to confirm on the regulator’s own website, and that minute is the cheapest due diligence available to any investor.

For this brand specifically: search the FCA Warning List for Sunbird FX, then Companies House for company number 09386903 and read the dissolution date. Then search the address 20-22 Wenlock Road and see how many companies answer to it.

If you have already deposited

Act on paper, not on hope. Save every screenshot, chat log, email, payment reference and wallet address before the platform can close your account — once access goes, so does your evidence. Report the loss to your national financial regulator and to your police force’s fraud unit. Tell your bank or card issuer immediately; where funds moved by card or transfer within recent weeks, a recall or chargeback is sometimes still possible. If you paid in cryptocurrency, the transaction cannot be reversed, but the receiving address is permanent evidence and exchanges can sometimes freeze onward movement.

Then brace for the second approach. Victims of investment fraud are frequently contacted again by people offering to recover the money for an upfront fee, sometimes posing as lawyers, regulators or the platform’s own compliance department. That is a second fraud aimed at the same victim. No legitimate recovery service, and no regulator anywhere, asks for a payment before returning your funds.

The bottom line

The FCA warned about this website in 2015. The company named alongside it was dissolved in 2018 and had never registered as a financial business. And the complaint that would have told you so was, on the FPA’s record, exactly what one client was asked to delete. Never trade a public complaint for a private payment.
