Bellinson Group (bellinsongroup.com) calls itself among the world’s leading independent, offshore investment advisers. It offers retirement planning, a personal advisor and estate management from an office in Tokyo. France’s market regulator, the AMF, added Bellinson Group to its blacklist on 10 April 2025.
How offshore adviser scams work
These schemes usually start with a cold call or an email offering pre IPO shares, bonds or a fund that only professionals can reach. The caller sounds polished and the Tokyo or Hong Kong address sounds serious. Money goes to an account in a third country. Statements look real for a while. Then fees appear, or the adviser stops answering.
A second call often follows months later from someone offering to recover the money for a fee. That call is part of the same scheme.
