Karlsruhe Baden Bank Is a Copied Website, FINMA Warns

Karlsruhe Baden Bank flagged by regulators

Karlsruhe Baden Bank (karlsruhebaden.com) presents itself as a Swiss bank for personal and business banking, with mortgages, savings, insurance and an e-banking login. Switzerland’s financial regulator FINMA warned about “Karlsruhe Baden Bank Switzerland” on 26 March 2025. There is no licensed bank by that name.

What fake banks are used for

A fake bank rarely finds customers on its own. It is usually the second act of another scam. A trading platform or a recovery agent tells you your money has been moved to a secure bank account in Switzerland. You get a login, you see your balance, and then you are asked to pay a transfer fee, a tax or a compliance charge before it can be released.

The balance on that screen is just a number typed into a database. Paying the fee does not release anything. It only proves you will pay.

Karlsruhe is a city in Germany. Baden is a German region. Switzerland is a different country. The name stitches together places that sound like old money. The mortgage award belongs to a different market altogether, and the travel insurance link still points to an Irish template. The site was copied from a real bank’s website and relabelled.

If you were sent here

  1. Do not pay any fee to release funds.
  2. Screenshot the account page and every message.
  3. Write down who first gave you the bank’s name.
  4. Report it to FINMA and to your own bank.

Our verdict: a copied bank website with a borrowed name, flagged by FINMA. Treat Karlsruhe Baden Bank as a scam.
