What the FSMA found

The FSMA’s warning, titled “Fraudulent trading platforms: don’t trust fake press articles”, states: “The FSMA has identified a fraudulent trading platform by the name of BitKeltTrade, which uses the website: https://www.bitkelttrade.com.” It also lists six fake information sites that send readers to BitKeltTrade.

“These fraudsters shamelessly steal the identity of Belgian celebrities. They attribute false statements to them or make it seem as if they were investing in online trading platforms.”

The pitch

bitkelttrade.com calls itself a “trusted trading partner” offering “AI Crypto Trading for Passive Earnings”. It says its “personalised insights have grown portfolios by 214% in our first year of operation”, that its algorithms reach “decision accuracies of up to 95%”, and that it “processes over 1,000,000 transactions daily”. The entry point is “a minimum deposit of €250”. The homepage also shows a Trustpilot-style badge claiming 4,237 reviews and a 4.8 rating.

If you reached the site through a news-style article quoting a celebrity, treat that article as fake. The FSMA says these sites copy the “visual identity and name of well-known Belgian or international media outlets”.

If a celebrity “recommended” it

Real celebrities do not endorse crypto robots in news interviews. If you saw one, report the advert to the platform that showed it. If you paid, contact your bank the same day, because card and transfer disputes have time limits.

The verdict: BitKeltTrade is a fraudulent trading platform, according to Belgium’s regulator, fed by fake celebrity news stories. Do not register or deposit.
