The Financial Conduct Authority warned about Capital Traders Market on 20 September 2022. Type its web address into a browser today and you do not reach a trading platform, a holding page, or an error. You are redirected to an Indonesian online gambling site.
What the FCA published
The warning is a plain unauthorised-firm notice, first published 20 September 2022 and updated the following day. The FCA’s wording: “We believe this firm may be providing financial services or products in the UK without our authorisation.” It adds that the firm “is not authorised by us and is targeting people in the UK.”
Two details are recorded against it: the website www.ctmarket.org and an address at 64 New Cavendish Street, London W1G 8TB.
Where that address leads today
We loaded ctmarket.org on 11 September 2026. The domain still resolves, but it does not serve its own content. It forwards visitors to an unrelated site operating an online slots and casino brand aimed at an Indonesian audience, which opens with a promotional pop-up and buttons to log in or register.
We are not naming that operator as a broker and we make no allegation about it. The point is narrower and it is about the address, not the destination: the web address the FCA warned about has been handed on to somebody else entirely.
What a recycled domain tells you
Three things happen to a flagged domain. It lapses and dies. It stays live and gets redressed as something harmless. Or it is sold, and the new owner points it wherever suits them.
This is the third. Somebody bought or took over ctmarket.org and pointed it at traffic they can convert. They are buying the residue: the search results that still mention the name, the old forum posts, the links, the people who saved the address years ago and type it in out of habit.
That residue is the danger for anyone still owed money. Search “Capital Traders Market” and you will find the domain resolving, pages loading, activity. None of it is the firm. The operation that took deposits stopped answering long ago, and the address that once reached it now belongs to a business with no connection to it and no knowledge of your account.
If you deposited with this firm
Capital Traders Market was never authorised. Nobody who dealt with it has access to the Financial Ombudsman Service, and nothing paid in is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. There is no fund to claim against.
What you have left is the payment trail. Card payments may be reversible through your bank’s chargeback process. Transfers depend on how fast the receiving account is flagged. Both are decided by dates, so the useful action is reporting it to your bank and to Action Fraud rather than pursuing the website.
Do not use the contact details on that domain now. They reach somebody else. Any message claiming to be Capital Traders Market support, recovery or compliance arriving from that address today is not the firm you dealt with.

Flagged domains end in different ways. ProFX One’s lapsed and was parked by its registrar, and five separate clones of Finalto were dropped one after another as each was listed.
Our verdict
A live website is not evidence that a firm exists. Domains are traded like any other asset, and a name that once took deposits can be pointing at casino traffic four years later without a word of explanation to the people still out of pocket.
Check the firm, never the website. The FCA register tells you whether a business is authorised today. A loading homepage tells you only that somebody paid the renewal.
