Hash Miner — $69,000 Worth Half A Cent

Verdict up front: Hash Miner sells “remote cloud mining management” through in-app plans starting at $39.99. Its own store screenshot shows a dashboard reading $69,034.14 directly above a balance of 0.00000005616 BTC — which is worth well under one cent. Do not buy a plan.

The two numbers on the same screen

The first screenshot on the store page shows the app’s dashboard. At the top, in large type: $69,034.14. Immediately beneath it, the balance: 0.00000005616 BTC.

Work it through. At a bitcoin price of roughly $69,000, a holding of 0.00000005616 BTC is worth about $0.0039 — less than half a cent. The large dollar figure is not the user’s money. It is the market price of one whole bitcoin, placed at the top of a dashboard where every reader’s eye goes first.

This is the defining move of the fake cloud-mining genre. Nothing on the screen is technically a lie — the price is the price — but the layout is built so that the number a person remembers is the one that has nothing to do with what they own.

What is actually being sold

“Hash Miner Bitcoin Miner Cloud is a powerful remote cloud mining management app that allows users to monitor and control their mining operations anytime, anywhere.” Note the verbs: monitor, manage, control. Not mine. The app manages mining operations it never demonstrates exist.

⚠ Verified evidence

  • The dashboard screenshot shows $69,034.14 above 0.00000005616 BTC. Those figures describe completely different amounts.
  • The $69,034.14 is the bitcoin price, displayed where a user reads a balance.
  • The in-app Store offers a “Free Starter” tier and a “Basic” plan at $39.99.
  • The listing names no mining pool, no facility, no wallet provider and no website.
  • 4.08K reviews against 10K+ installs is a review-to-install ratio organic apps do not produce.

The store inside the app

A second screenshot shows the in-app Store: a Free Starter tier at the top, then Basic, $39.99. That purchase is the only transaction in the whole system that is verifiably real. It leaves your card, through Google Play, on a date you can look up. Everything flowing the other way is a number the app draws.

What a real cloud mining contract looks like

A genuine provider names the facility, publishes the hashrate you are buying and the term, states the maintenance fee per terahash, identifies the pool, and pays out to an address you control — which means the payments appear on the public blockchain, where anyone can check them. Hash Miner’s listing names no pool, no facility, no company beyond the developer line, and gives no website at all.

The reviews

4.4 stars from 4,080 reviews on 10,000+ installs. Roughly two in five installs leaving a review is not how app stores behave; a strong organic rate is a few per cent. A high average built early, before anyone has attempted a withdrawal, is worth nothing to you — and the withdrawal is the only test that matters.

Check it in one minute

Open the reviews, sort to one star, and search for “withdraw”. Then take the BTC figure in the screenshot and multiply it by today’s bitcoin price yourself. If the answer is a fraction of a cent, you have found the product.

The verdict: Hash Miner displays the bitcoin price where a balance should be, sells $39.99 plans against it, and names no pool, facility or payout route. Do not buy a plan.
