A package name is built as a namespace, read left to right. The left-hand segments are the part a developer controls and reuses. Two accounts presenting themselves as unrelated have built from the same starting point, and one has simply extended it.
Why this is not a coincidence
Package prefixes are conventionally derived from a domain the developer owns, precisely so that two builders never collide. Nobody arrives at com.tradingapp.stocktrading twice by accident, and nobody extends someone else’s prefix unless they have the same project in front of them.
Everything visible on the two listings says separate businesses: different display names, different contact addresses, different websites, different blogs. The identifiers say otherwise, and the identifiers are the part written into the build rather than typed into a form.

Verified from the public listings
- The package names overlap exactly — one is the opening of the other.
- The two developer accounts are presented as unrelated: different names, mailboxes, sites and blogs.
- Both run the same free-tier setup — Gmail contact, free
.web.appsite, Blogspot policy. - Neither names a company, a registered address or a regulator.
- Neither package root matches either developer’s display name.
- Techno Apps Development’s listing names the wrong website — the
.web.apppage belongs to another app on its own shelf.

Copy the id= value out of a Play listing’s address and paste it into a search. If a shorter version of the same string belongs to a different developer, the two are not strangers.
It takes seconds, it costs nothing, and it is the one part of a listing that cannot be restyled to look independent.
The verdict: we are not calling either developer a criminal enterprise, and no regulator we checked has issued a warning about either of them. What the public record shows is two accounts presented as separate businesses whose apps were built from the same package namespace, both running the same free-tier setup, and neither naming a company that could be held to anything.
