Broker Merco Sul Claims a Licence Paraguay Denies

Broker Merco Sul flagged by regulators

Broker Merco Sul (bmsmercosul.com) presents itself as an internationally regulated forex and CFD broker, regulated as a brokerage house by the National Securities Commission of Paraguay under licence number 80139959-9. On 29 October 2026 Paraguay’s securities supervisor, part of the Central Bank of Paraguay, issued a public warning that the company is not registered with it.

The details that do not add up

One page offers leverage up to 1:200. The market table offers up to 1500. Spreads start at 0.0 pips in one place and from 1.0 pip for the same Standard account in another. None of this proves fraud on its own, but a broker licensed to hold client money would not publish its own terms two different ways.

Merco Sul also runs Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages, which is often where the first contact happens. A friendly account manager, a small first deposit, a quick early profit, and then a request to move up to Premium.

PARAGUAY WARNING

Regulation claimed National Securities Commission of Paraguay
Address given Avda. Cacique Lambaré 206, Asunción
Accounts Standard from $100, Premium from $5,000
Leverage “up to 1:200” and “up to 1500”
Platform MetaTrader 5
Domain registered 22 January 2025

This is the clearest kind of red flag. The broker names one regulator, in one country, and that regulator has gone on record to say the firm is not on its registry. The warning was also shared with securities regulators worldwide through IOSCO’s alerts network on 30 October 2026.

If you already paid Broker Merco Sul

  1. Stop all payments, including any fee to process a withdrawal.
  2. Save screenshots of your MT5 account and messages.
  3. List every deposit with date, amount and method.
  4. Report to the Central Bank of Paraguay and to the police where you live.

⚠ Broker Merco Sul red flags

  1. Paraguay regulator warning, 29 October 2026.
  2. Claims a licence from that same regulator.
  3. Leverage and spreads stated two ways.
  4. A licence number its own regulator disowns.

Our verdict: the regulator it names says it is not registered. Treat Broker Merco Sul as a scam broker and do not deposit.
