If you have already lost money to a trading scam, Hope Fund Bank (hopefundbank.com) is built to find you next. It offers “Secure Bank & Crypto Refund Claims” and promises its “expert team” will “recover what’s yours”. The UK FCA has warned about the site (IOSCO I-SCAN, checked 20 October 2026). Its domain was registered on 1 May 2026.
Before anything else: three rules for scam victims
- A genuine bank or regulator never charges you to process a refund claim.
- Nobody can “overturn” your bank’s decision through “SWIFT” or “international arbitration” for a fee.
- If a recovery service finds you, rather than you finding it, treat it as the second half of the first scam.

RECOVERY SCAM
- Service: Bank and crypto “refund claims”
- Claims: $2.4B+ recovered · 50K+ claims · 97% success
- Badges: “FCA Regulated”, “ISO 27001”, “Licensed & regulated”
- “Partners”: HSBC, Barclays, Santander, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and seven more
- Warning: FCA (UK), IOSCO I-SCAN
- Domain registered: 1 May 2026 — about five and a half months old
Twelve banks that never signed up
The homepage shows a scrolling wall of logos — HSBC, BNP Paribas, Santander, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, ING, UniCredit, Commerzbank, BBVA, Nordea, Société Générale, Crédit Agricole — each stamped “VERIFIED PARTNER”. Banks handle fraud disputes themselves, free of charge, through their own fraud teams. They do not outsource refunds to a five-month-old website.

“FCA Regulated” — and on the FCA’s warning list
Hope Fund Bank prints “FCA Regulated, UK Financial Authority” under its partner wall. Calling itself a “bank” is a further problem: in the UK, using that word without authorisation is itself restricted. The FCA has not authorised it; it has warned about it.
Where real help comes from
Go back to your own bank’s fraud team, and if they refuse, to the Financial Ombudsman Service (UK) or your country’s equivalent — both free. Report the original scam and Hope Fund Bank to the FCA and Action Fraud. Keep the testimonials and “partner” screenshots; they help investigators link sites.
The verdict: a recovery service that targets victims, claims bank partnerships and is on the FCA warning list. Do not pay it.
