Marathon Expert calls itself an “award-winning global forex and crypto broker” with “Start Mining” and “Start Trading” buttons. New Zealand’s Financial Markets Authority (FMA) warned about it on 31 July 2026. Its domain, marathonexpertxtips.com, was registered on 4 October 2025 — about a year ago.

A regulator in the wrong country
Under “Legal Compliance” the site says: “We are legal and recognized, regulated by the FCA, USA.” The FCA is the United Kingdom’s regulator. It does not regulate firms in the USA, and this firm is not on its register.

The footer reads “© Copyright 2015 – 2024 Marathonexpertxtips”. The domain was registered in October 2025, a year after the copyright range ends.

Another brand’s name on the plans
The plans page is titled “Marathondigitaltips | Investment Plans” and signed “© 2015 – 2024 Marathondigitaltips”. Tiers run from $500–$50,000 to $100,000–“Unlimited”. The same template, with the same “global leader … more than 20 years” wording, sits on astroprofitunion.com, capitalprimeoptions.com, ultradominionoptionz.com and encryptxspace.com — all warned about by the FMA on the same day.
Who is being targeted
Sites cloned from one template are usually run by one group and promoted through social-media ‘account managers’. If one is exposed, the next domain is already live.
What to do if you paid Marathon Expert
- Stop paying: no further “fees”, “taxes” or “upgrades” to release money.
- If you paid by card or bank transfer, contact your bank today and ask about a chargeback or recall.
- Keep every email, chat, receipt and wallet address.
- Report it to the regulator that issued the warning and to your local police cybercrime unit.
- Ignore anyone offering to “recover” your money for an upfront fee.
The verdict: Marathon Expert puts a UK regulator in the USA, claims a history its domain does not have and cannot keep its own name straight. The FMA has warned about it. Do not deposit.
