A name built to sound like a regulator
The US Federal Trade Commission is a real federal agency. “Ventures Federal Trading Commission” is not. The homepage headline reads “Welcome To Ventures Federal Trading Commission (V-FTC)”, the logo is a diamond with the letters FTC inside it, and the tab title is spelled “Comission”. A regulator does not invite you to “Register & Invest Now”.
What the SEC published
The SEC’s PAUSE programme lists entities that falsely claim to be registered, licensed or located in the US, and those that impersonate genuine firms or fictitious regulators, government agencies, or international organizations. Its public alert for Ventures Federal Trading Commission gives the contact details the operation used: 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20580, phone (202) 326-2222, email support@swoopventures.com, website swoopventures.com.
600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW is the headquarters of the real Federal Trade Commission, and (202) 326-2222 is the FTC’s public switchboard. The scheme borrows a federal agency’s name, address and phone number together.
A token sale with a countdown
The page pushes a “Token Sale End In” countdown, a crowdsale with a soft cap and hard cap, and a progress bar reading “Raised – 1,450 Tokens, Target – 150,000 Tokens”. It describes itself as an “all-in-one investment platform” for digital currencies, gold, stocks and forex, and says it “adheres to regulatory standards”. It names no licence, no registration number and no company behind it. The funding allocation lists Marketing 25%, Business Development 25%, and “Reserve” twice.

Why fake regulators work
A fake regulator is the most dangerous kind of investment scam, because it is often the second hit. Victims of an earlier fraud go looking for an authority to help them, find a name that sounds official, and pay “fees” to recover money that is never returned. Real regulators do not sell tokens, do not take deposits, and do not charge to recover losses.
How to check
US federal agencies use .gov addresses. The FTC is ftc.gov; the SEC is sec.gov. Search any unfamiliar “commission” on the SEC’s PAUSE list before you reply to it.
The verdict: V-FTC imitates a US federal agency, uses the real FTC’s address and phone number, sells tokens on a countdown, and is listed by the SEC as an unregistered soliciting entity. Do not invest.
